Symptoms of Hazelnuts allergy, one of the most common nut allergies
There are two types of people, one who live to eat and the other who eat to live. Unfortunately in both types of people there are many who can not enjoy all of the foods because of their immunity system who gets allergy from some dry fruits. One of the known and widespread food allergies is the nut allergy and among those nut allergies the most common is hazelnut allergy.
Hazelnut allergy is associated to pollen allergens from tree of the order Fagales and among these pollen allergens 70 to 90% patients suffer from hazelnut allergy. Symptoms of hazelnuts allergy may include skin infection like hives or eczema, eyes infection like allergic conjunctivitis, gastrointestinal infection causing nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting or diarrhea, airways infections causing wheezing, coughing or running nose and mouth infections such as angioedema. Hazelnut allergy may turn into sever disease if not cure or cared about like asthma, which could adopt both forms either temporary or permanent.
Seasonal asthmatic attack which is the results of this hazelnut allergy can be cured through proper medication of adrenaline injection. Hazelnut allergy is an adverse reaction by the body’s immune system to hazelnuts or food containing hazelnuts. The body’s immune system produces immunoglobulin E and histamine in response to contact with the allergen. If any patients finds himself suffering from hazelnuts allergy and discovers the above mentioned symptoms in himself then he must be careful, as there is no definite remedy for this disease. Removal of these symptoms is not enough to give you surety that you will no more suffer from hazelnut allergy. In most of the cases patients treat themselves from ordinary medication of these symptoms and as a result their condition become worse, as food allergies can never be cured with normal medications.
In order to avoid the worst consequences patient should consult the doctor and must restrain himself throughout his life from eating hazelnuts. He must avoid hazelnuts and the products made from it as hazelnut is a common ingredient in processed foods, mainly in confectionery products. Hazelnut oils which are not fully refined may potentially be a threat for nut allergic individuals. Though hazelnut allergy is incurable, the only solution is avoidance. By making people aware of this disease, by letting people know the symptoms of hazelnuts disease and letting them know the ways of its avoidance.
