Vinegar Allergy

People who suffer from vinegar allergy are always on the lookout for foods which contain vinegar. A majority of people wonder if vinegar is an issue if they are taking diets with no yeast. Vinegar comes in many types and the one thing they all have in common is that they entail fermentation through yeast.

Vinegar can pretty much be made from anything that is possible to ferment. Some examples of vinegar include:

Some of these products include soy sauce, dried fruit, tomato paste, beer, wine, and bread. Although these products have high levels of vinegar in them, there are those which have higher levels. So if you have a vinegar allergy you need to examine the tags on the products.

There are various symptoms of a vinegar allergy and they mostly appear within a few minutes after ingesting vinegar products. The most common symptoms include: headaches and migraines, sneezing, itchy eyes and nose, heartburn, vomiting, sore throat, runny nose, wheezing, coughing, fatigue, nasal congestion, constipation, skin rash, diarrhea and a white coated tongue.

No much research has been done pertaining to vinegar allergies. The best way you could such allergies is staying from vinegar products. Staying away from the vinegar products will reduce the symptoms of a vinegar allergy. Most of these symptoms may seem to be like the symptoms of other diseases making it hard to diagnose a vinegar allergy. It is always good to see your doctor if you have any of these symptoms to that he/she may carry out further tests.

If you are taking a yeast free diet, it is advisable you keep of yeast. It however depends on why you are taking the yeast free diet. If you suffer from a food related yeast allergy, any vinegar will cause problems with the exception of distilled vinegar. The best cure for a yeast virus would however include apple cider vinegar. It is advisable still to read labels of foods before buying them to avoid consuming products that have vinegar in them. It is always good to visit your doctor in case you suspect you have a vinegar allergy, because accurate results will help you in knowing if it’s an allergy or another form of disease.
